We stayed in a wonderful place on the far south coast called Franskraal for a few months to explore the surrounding countryside. This painting of two Oyster Catcher's was the result of a fantastic day of bird watching and exploring the Boesmansrivier river mouth. Looking for bird-life? You may never leave!

We drove through the Bainskloof pass on our way through to the Tankwa Karoo one day and I was greatly inspired by what I saw there. It's incredibly beautiful so I think i'll go back and spend a couple of days creating in that space. Apparently there is a camp site somewhere along this road so i'll definitely check that out and maybe do some painting.
