Big thank you to Cape Agulhas Backpackers who introduced me to Kite-Boarding!  What a blast! I loved every second and got up on the board, promptly face planting a second later! I highly recommend staying at this particular backpackers, the atmosphere is unforgettable and filled with magic. It's fantastic.

There are good quality bush tents as well as various other accomodation available as well as camp sites. Booking is essential and meals must be ordered in advance from the friendly bar staff. Also make sure you have a spare wheel with you.. The road to this place has the potential to eat tyres. (Luckily they have a tyre repair shop on-site when you get there.)

The Sea Shack is the perfect romantic getaway out of season or a great place to take a group of friends for a remote weekend away. The rooms are located right on the waters edge in a beautiful little cove and the stars at night are majestic! Highly recommended if you enjoy self-catering.

Leopard Rock is one of those unforgettable places where you get to feel the truly wild life-force of the mountains. Set deep in the Cederberg you'll need a 4x4 to get there (As we discovered.. we ended up towing two vehicles through deep sand and over some serious rock!) Lost in time in amongst ancient rock formations, teeming with life. These mountains are full of SAN rock paintings and a thick sense of magic..

I don't even know what to say about Wild Spirit. It's been rated as the top Backpackers in South Africa for so many years and well, you'll understand after you've spent a couple of days there. It has everything a travelling adventurer could possibly want.. Forests, Mountains, Beaches, Magnificent service, Amazing entertainment, smiling faces and so much more. I'll leave it up to you to discover the rest... It's out of this world!
